We left Condon early this morning, before 7:00. It wasn’t too smoky but we were headed south towards the fire, but east of it. It was deemed safe enough to ride the route today; but we were given the opportunity to ride in the van if we felt more comfortable with that. Everyone chose to ride.
Today was the best ride so far and also the highest we have been yet, about 6550’. We climbed mostly gradually for 27 miles and at the top we got a good view of the wildfire area.
There was a couple of really fun sections of single track on the descent.
Today we are camped at the Seven Timbers Resort by Seeley Lake. Tomorrow is a rest day and we will get to go into town.
