Ridewithgps

Total mileage-239.30 Total ascent- 16233 ft

We left our wild camp near Cedar Creek and our destination for the day was the small town of Condon. As we neared the town we got news of a wildfire nearby. Some areas were being evacuated and we didn’t know if Condon would be affected. Luckily one of our group riders, George, is a retired wildfire firefighter. He helped our guides figure out the situation. We never felt in danger. We were able to camp at Condon after all but that decision wasn’t made until the evening so we just sat around in the grass or by the creek all afternoon. The weather during the day has been in the 90’s but it really cools off at night, probably down into the low 50’s.

There’s never a bad view
Some grassy singletrack, fun but I sang loud to alert any bears
Still some snow on that peak
