Seeley Lake to Cooper Lake

I woke up this morning at 4:30 a.m. to a thunder storm and pouring rain. Luckily it didn’t last long and we didn’t have to ride in the rain today.

The landscape changed today from forests to open pasture land.

Many signs of past forest fires
Open prairie

Halfway through today’s ride we passed through the town of Ovando, which is a very small town but big in the Great Divide world. Probably because they have an excellent cafe. I had a second breakfast(really lunch).

Dogs to people population- 2:1
Ovando Hoyt- the town was named after him
Jen and Alison heading down the road

Tonight we are camping by Cooper Lake- very picturesque.
