Little Joe Campground to Bannack State Park, Montana
Yesterday after I got to camp I had a low moment. The slightest incline seemed like a huge effort, spiking my heart rate and my legs have felt like all the blood has been drained from them for days now. I went into the swamp of despair for a couple of hours but dinner seemed to help, even though I was trying not to cry while I ate. I got a good nights sleep and today has been better. We get a rest day on Friday and I can’t wait!!
Today’s ride continued down the Pioneer Mountains Scenic Byway. The road goes by a natural area called Crystal Park where they let people dig in the earth for crystals. We tried our hand at it.
We have definitely moved out of the thick forest part of Montana.
Tonight we are at Bannack State Park which is right next to the ghost town of Bannack. Bannack was Montana’s first city and where gold was first discovered.
