Total miles -667.70 Total ascent – 49,511 ft

Bannack State Park – Hansen Ranch, Dad’s Cabin, MT

Today’s ride consisted of two things: rocky dirt’s roads and headwinds. It’s amazing how hard you can be working and hardly get anywhere. The rocks on the road make your tires bounce every which way. The headwind is just so demoralizing.

This mountain reminded me of Mt. Rainier, only without snow
The restaurant was closed, we went the other way
George, Robert and Bob after telling us the restaurant was closed
Hay fields beneath the mountains
The telltale ACA yellow and red triangles under a stormy sky

We stayed on the Hansen Ranch, which encompassed many, many miles, at Dad’s Cabin. We set up our tents in the “yard” but took refuge in the cabin’s main room for the afternoon and for dinner while it sprinkled outside.
