Total miles- 1659.10 Total ascent – 108,699 ft

After a dry night in the barn at Hartsel Ranch we left under more ominous skies

The descent into Salida, look into the clouds to see some 14,000 ft mountains

Tonight we are staying at a hostel in Salida. The four women each get their own room complete with bathrooms!! Super plush 😊. More about this tomorrow.

  Yes I am. It’s amazing how so much of this country looks the same. But the rest of Colorado and New Mexico should bring some new sights.

Omg!!!! Love these past 4 days you had. You are closing in on the end of this journey. I bet that is bittersweet. You must be tired but I imagine you also never want this to end. Such an amazing experience!

  Hi Keri, we have the hardest riding yet to come in terms of mileage, climbing, and rough trail. And I’m so tired, it’s hard to know where I’m going to pull the strength from. It’s also hard to believe we only have three weeks left. I hope your summer has been good and that you’ve had some fun adventures!
