Sadly we had to leave Salida today. It was a really nice town and a great place for a rest day.
The ride today was a steady but gradual climb followed by a gradual descent all the way to camp. Totally enjoyable.
Just before dinner a fierce thunderstorm struck. I thought my tent was going to blow away. I hope New Mexico doesn’t have these thunderstorms!
