GDMBR day 47 – Thursday, August 31, 2023

Total miles – 1855.75 Total ascent – 124,152

Today we hit the highest point, elevation wise, on the trip. We climbed to close to 12,000 ft and then rambled at that elevation for awhile. I didn’t have problems breathing but my stomach felt a bit queasy.

It was a lot of climbing, much of it in the 8% – 12% range.

    Lots of climbing in a shorter distance! And reaching almost 12k feet!

    WOW, wow, WOW! Beautiful scenery. I had problems trying to comment on these posts from my phone so I am not sure if some of my comments were posted or not. You are getting to close and I am so inspired by your journey, your grit and resilience. Can’t wait to hear all about it when you are done and return to Seattle!

      Thanks Emma. I haven’t seen anything from you recently. Eleven days left of riding or something like that and some of the hardest days are yet to come. I’m looking forward to being at home again. See you soon❤️
